It's All Coming Back

Five years after the attack that nearly killed her, Constance hosts her annual liberation party at her isolated cottage. Her sister arrives with a new fiance, and Constance slowly realises she has met him before.

Constance throws a party every year to mark her survival. Five years ago a stranger followed her home and left her for dead. The scar on her forehead is the shape of his ring. The party is how she laughs at it. Her cottage comes rigged with homemade scares she springs on her guests before the wine is poured.

This year her sister brings a surprise. A fiance no one has met. Polished. Attentive. The kind of man who asks the right questions and means them. He sees the cottage is small and says so kindly. And somewhere between the starter and the storm, Constance starts to feel she has been in a room with him before.

A chamber piece for seven, across one long night. Some gifts you can't give back.

Everyone arrives with a gift. Not all of them are wrapped.
